 UPDATE COFFEE MARKET PRICE TODAY 

on June 6th, 2023 

For world coffee prices, coffee prices on two exchanges in London (UK) and New York (USA) recorded green color. Specifically, on the London exchange (UK), the price of Robusta coffee in the latest trading session ranged from $2,435 to $2,580/ton. In which, the coffee delivery term in July 2023 reached USD 2,580/ton. The remaining coffee delivery terms are respectively priced at $2,547/ton for September 2023 delivery; 2,487 USD/ton for November delivery term, 2023; USD 2,435/ton for January term, 2024. Short term trading volume is very good. On the New York Stock Exchange (USA), the price of Arabica coffee in the latest trading session ranged from 175-180.8 cents/lb. The trading price is 180.8 cents/lb for coffee delivery in July 2023; reached 177.8 cents/lb for September delivery in 2023; 175.40 cents/lb for December 2023 coffee delivery and 175 cents/lb for March 2024 coffee delivery.

On June 6, on the US market, the US Dollar Index (DXY) measuring the volatility of the greenback with 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) decreased slightly by 0.02%, down to 104. The dollar fell on news that the U.S. services sector barely grew in May, as new orders slowed, ending an initial rally on the back of strong job growth. In addition, the weather in some localities of Brazil is not favorable, making coffee slow to market, affecting supply. In the context of weak supply pushing prices up, Vietnamese coffee quickly had the opportunity to develop. In May 2023, world coffee prices fluctuated sharply due to low supply of Robusta in leading producing countries.
